Reece Energy is a small energy producer whose activities are exclusively in Saskatchewan.
Reece Energy Leaders felt compelled to study the effects of the changes in Alberta's Royalties, as they were already feeling the effects in the form of investment pull-back in the province.
Even though Reece is an economically sound company that operates outside Alberta , the company feels that the overall flight of capital from the Canadian oil industry has caused investors to be wary of investing in Canada's oil industry.
Documenting the effects of the policy changes in Alberta is an exercise in making sure that Canadians can learn from history and avoid letting politicians make decisions that cause hard-won investment to go elsewhere.
